Street closures during the Miami Marathon

The DNA and MCP Events Planning, specifically Lieutenant Gilberto Gomez, have put in place a process for downtown residents to access their residential towers during road closures by carrying the approved “badge/ID.”

Contact your respective property manager and ask for the “badge.”

The following road closures will take place on Sunday, January 27th, 2019 for the 17th Annual Miami Marathon and Half Marathon produced by Life Time — Healthy Way of Life Company. The race will begin at 6 AM at the American Airlines Arena downtown and will proceed to Miami Beach via the MacArthur Causeway, up Ocean Drive, over the Venetian Causeway and as far south as Coconut Grove. All participants are completely off the of the course by 2 PM for the reopening of the roads, however, most of the roadways will be clear before then due to the rolling reopening procedures. Traffic managed by the City of Miami, Miami Beach and Miami Dade Police Departments. It is recommended the Julia Tuttle Causeway be utilized for access to and from Miami Beach until 10 AM. The Port of Miami will remain open, please access through NE 5th Street.

Residents are invited to a meeting with Miami Marathon — please look at the graphic, and if you see it impacts you, please attend, or share this information with a neighbor or a representative of your building who can attend.
